Most of us have expected some things at some points in our life, but we were disappointed that we didn't get what we anticipated.

I'm here to tell you that; what is bargained is gotten and not what is anticipated.

I remembered back in school days, some students anticipated first class in 100 level but ended up with second class because that was what they bargained in the real sense.

This bring me to a parable told by God the Son in the most distributed and highest sold book of the world

'the parable of the workers in the vineyard'

There was this land owner who went out early in the morning to hire workers for his vineyard. He AGREED to pay them a denarius for the day, so he sent them into his vineyard.
When it was noon, he hired other set of people for the same amount.
And when it was evening, he set out and hired another set of people and AGREED to pay them the same amount.
Now when it was time to pay them their wages, he started with the last one hired and paid them the agreed price, a denarius.
Before the first people that were hired was called, they were anticipating a bigger reward since they worked for more hours, they weren't expecting equal wages with those that worked for fewer hours.
Unfortunately, they were disappointed that the land owner paid them same one denarius. When they were grumbling, the land owner ask them that “didn't you AGREE to work for a denarius”

So life gives us what we bargained and not what we anticipated
