Education, Religion and Africa...words on the marble

The search for knowledge gave birth to education.

The search for the creator gave birth to religion.
The search for the truth gave birth to solution to problem.

If I have my way, I will prefer my local Sango and Obatala to a foreign Holy Mary and Apostle Paul.
The problem of Africa gradually started when Europeans and Arabs infiltrated our lives with the their gods and language.
They called worshipping their gods religion and studying their language education.
We never knew we had religion and education prior to their uninvited visit.

It was so foolish of us to embrace a completely alien religion and language and neglect ours.
We henceforth ceased to reason in the African way.
We wanted to be either Arabs or the west.
We dress like them, eat like them, think like them and ultimately serve their god.

Tell me, do you need Christianity or Islam to tell you what's wrong from what's right or what's intelligent from what's foolish
If they can bring their creator and language to us, believe me, they will bring everything to us for a very long time.

The fact that Christianity and Islam or French and English was brought to Africa doesn't mean we are doom forever. Buddhism and English was brought to China and US respectively longtime ago, yet they are the word's two leading economy today.

It was foolish to embrace foreign language and religion. It will be more foolish to now neglect what we have been birthed with.

All we need now is the truth.
And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free...don't tell me I have quoted that from the bible...Lol
